Lake Okeechobee Fishing Charters

Lake Okeechobee is the second largest lake in the U.S. and covers approximately 730 square miles. The lake is an integral part of the everglades system and varies from grassy marshes to open waters. It is an extremely unique and beautiful body of water. Many people ask what time of the year has the best fishing. That question is hard to answer. November is a great month with many large fish caught but winter can be great also with large spawning fish moving in and readily available. Winter is good in between cold fronts. Spring and summer are great too especially for catching large numbers on artificial lures. There is no bad time.

With Capt. Bob’s vast knowledge of the lake he will put you on the fish. Be prepared to catch fish and have fun. Bob is a resident of Okeechobee and guides mostly out of the northern end of the lake.

Bob does offer artificial fishing trips also but highly recommends shiners especially if your coming from afar and for a limited stay. Artificial fishing can be challenging especially if clients are not familiar with fishing in heavy vegetation. Bob enjoys doing instructional trips for tournament fishermen or weekend anglers.

For the tournament angler Bob offers one on one instructional trips as well. Anglers that have boats many times hire Capt. Bob for tips on boat handling and navigation especially under low water conditions.
