Fishing on Lake Okeechobee is a unique experience. The fishing is great but thats not all clients enjoy. The lake is teeming with all sorts of wildlife from alligators to wading birds there are so many photo opportunities. Many days the action is fast and furious, almost impossible to keep up with. Not only is Lake Okeechobee known for large bass from 6 to 10 pounds but also for its large population of bass. In a fully rigged Ranger bass boat clients can either fish wild golden shiners for that trophy bass or try their hand at fishing artificial lures on the # 2 lake in the country. Group trips are also available with multiple boats.
Lake Okeechobee is in the heart of the Atlantic flyway with many species of ducks wintering all season. Capt. Bob scouts for ducks daily ensuring that his clients have great success. Our early teal season starts in Sept. and the main season usually starts the Sat. before Thanksgiving every year. You can choose to hunt puddle ducks (teal, shovelers, mottled ducks, etc.) or diving ducks (ringnecks, bluebills, etc.)
Capt. Bob is well known for his Florida gator hunting, with 18 years experience. Clients can bring their own bows if not Bob provides crossbows, fishing rods and all needed equipment. Bob's equipment has been fine tuned over the years and proven again and again. Hunting gators according to Florida laws is a challenge, it is nothing like popular shows on TV depicting gator trappers. Florida laws allow recreational hunting with strict rules. Absolutely no guns. A bang stick is used to dispatch the animal. Capt. Bob can provide gator tags but he also guides clients who obtain their own. Bob highly recommends first timers hire a guide and always think safety. If you have tags or not call Capt. Bob, you will get your trophy gator.
