What time of day do we hunt?

Gator hunting hours are currently 5:00 pm – 10:00 am. Be prepared for long nights as Capt. Bob will not stop until you bag your trophy.

Why are gator hunts so expensive?

There is a lot of preparation and gear for gator hunting. Days are spent before the season even begins preparing the gear and boats so that you have the best chance at your trophy. Be cautious of cut rate guide services our hunts are professionally done. If you compare prices of big game hunts for elk, mule deer, whitetail etc… gator hunts are much more economical even when trophy gator hunting. Also tags are provided in cost as opposed to other big game hunts.

Can I get bit?

Yes you can get bit or even worse!! Capt. Bob practices and preaches safety, in his 18 years of hauling gator hunters there has never been one injury. All clients came back with all limbs.

Do I need a license?

Yes, if you are planning to use our tags you need an agent license available at myfwc.com for approx. $52.00. If you have your own tags you are already licensed.

What should I bring?

Bring a light jacket, mosquito repellant, camera, drinks and snacks. All equipment and cooler is provided. Camera boat is also available. For more information please see our Okeechobee gator hunting page.
